Vanessa-Mae's upcoming 29th bday is now rapidly approaching and it is therefore time to make plans for our annual bday project, gifts and self designed cards.

I propose the following to give Vanessa-Mae two crystal champagne glasses with the letters VM (for Vanessa-Mae to use) and LC (for Lionel to use) as inscriptions.

I realise that such a gift becomes more personal than we did so far in previous years, but I think she is used so much to our attentions by now that we can allow ourselves such a gesture.

Of course, we will also send self designed card, a nice letter and a list with questions for her her about issues of our concern.

The gift of the 2 champagne glasses is just a suggestion. We know that our Vanessa-Mae likes to drink champagne sometimes - she is not a heavy drinker. I thought that this might be a nice present for her and away to incorporate Lionel as well.

So, I aske everyone who wants to join this years bday project to let me know about your participation by replying in this topic or by sending me a private message.

1 Please let me know by private message if you are able and willing to donate a contribution for the costs

2 Questions that you may have for Vanessa-Mae can be submitted to me by private message or email. Questions of personal matters are not allowed and will be rejected.

3 Let me know by pm if you want to send an electronic card and I will provide you with an email address to send the file to.

I hope many of you will join me in surprising our Vanessa-Mae once again. To participate is your opportunity to get the questions that you always wanted to ask her to her attention.

So far in our previous projects, Vanessa-Mae always responded to our list of questions.

My suggestion for a gift is to take a collection, donate it to UNICEF and send her a birthday card saying that you made this donation.

She'd rather have this as a gift for any occasion (birthdays, weddings, etc.)

For last years bday gift, we asked Vanerssa-Mae which charity goal she would like us to give money to. She replied that a choice for a charity should come from the heart and that whoever wants to give mon ey should pick out any organisation he/she sympathises with.

I like Joe's sugsestion to do something like this again.

As a start, please name any organisation you feel is spendworthy in respect to a gift for Vanessa-Mae.

I then propose to make an official VANESSA-MAE FANS FORUM CHARITY SHORTLIST of all these organisations on glossy photopaper as a gift to Vanessa-Mae, together with bday cards, a letter and our usual list of questions.

Justy a card and a question would be fine. You can decide for yourself in private whether you have money available for some charity organisation to spend.

I've sent our parcel to Vanessa-Mae today. I expect that she will receive it coming thursday or friday. I will make all the files available next saturday.

Vanessa-Mae's personal assistent received our parcel on Friday, October 26. He passed it to our beloved Vanessa-Mae that evening.
